Balade poétique sur le circuit Jean Proal

On this magnificent LITERARY WALK, discover the landscapes so dear to JEAN PROAL. Follow in the footsteps of Nicole, who knows them so well. The itinerary will be punctuated by some very apt “bits and pieces”.

This writer, born in Seyne-les-Alpes, travelled the length and breadth of his region, discovering not only the flora and fauna, but also the innermost souls of the mountain farmers he came into contact with. His works are imbued with his contact with nature and the people of the Pays de Seyne and, more particularly, the hamlet of Sainte-Rose. Here, enthusiasts from the Fort et Patrimoine association have restored an old forgotten path and are offering you a guided walk, interspersed with a few readings. It’s a real return to basics, where you can listen, smell and watch… You’ll learn a lot about this magnificent environment and unspoilt nature.

“While the path is still well trodden by the generations that have travelled it, the “countryside” and farms are still surrounded by their old moss-welded walls. The old path can speak to anyone who wants to listen. A little breeze and the beech and birch trees will bend and the meadows will undulate. Bees and butterflies will celebrate in the undergrowth and meadows. From martagon lilies to daisies, daffodils to ranunculus, an infinite variety of orchids, from the humblest to the most sophisticated, flowers follow one another throughout the summer. This hike is a treat for botany lovers. Up here, the views are endless. And everywhere, you can feel a presence… Is it an animal hiding? Or perhaps the soul of a little boy called Jean, who has clung to a cloud above Sainte-Rose?
