Chapelle Sainte Anne

Chapelle Sainte Anne

Located in the Allards hamlet, it was built in 1716 thanks to both the priest Pierre Allard’s and his mother’s money.

It was probably renovated during the 19th century and then in 1975.
The abbot Albert mentions it in 1783 as a chapel where you can say mass for the eleven families of the hamlet.
A writing in the mortar, above the main door, indicates the probable restoration saying “J.A Lauzet-Mason. 1805”. It is in fact Jean Antoine Lauzet, who died on 27 February 1835.
St Anne chapel is small and characteristic of the Montclar village, it allows for the discovery of the religious heritage of the valley.
