La Route du Temps

Between Digne-les-Bains and Sisteron, whether by bicycle, motorcycle or car, this route takes you on a journey to discover some of the most beautiful natural and cultural sites in the Alpes de Haute Provence department.

“This route located in the Haute Provence Geopark, allows you to go through sites that have a special connection with the measurement of time:
– Fossils and Stone Inscription in St-Geniez,
– Scenic view of the Vançon,
– Andy Goldsworthy’s Sentinels,
– Initiation to the dating of wood in Mallemoisson,
– Etc.
This route will take you to the Terre et Temps (Earth and Time) museum in Sisteron.
Along this trip, you will come across landscapes ideal for hiking and visit numerous magnificent villages in our region such as Thoard, Hautes Duyes, Estoublon, Le Chaffaut-St-Jurson, Mallemoisson, Aiglun and Champtercier.”
