Annot

Annot

Nestled at the foot of the Annot sandstone and its centuries-old chestnut trees, the village has preserved a particularly rich medieval heart. A starting point for outdoor activities, it is a place to relax and discover nature.

While developing its tourist attractions, Annot has preserved the quality of its architectural heritage: watchtower, stalls, houses with engraved lintels from the 15th and 16th centuries, town hall built under Louis XIV. For over twenty years, it has been recognized as a “Village et Cité de caractère”. Find out more about its history on the street signs along the narrow streets.

A warm welcome and quality of life have been preserved, and the festive and cultural events held throughout the year are an opportunity to appreciate the village’s conviviality. The Train des Pignes steam train is an original way to discover Annot, and a sure-fire way to return.
