Saint Jérôme Cathedral

Neo-gothic co-cathedral of Digne les Bains

Following the state of neglect of the Notre Dame du Bourg Cathedral due to the Wars of Religion, the bishop decided, in 1490, to have a new church built between the castle and the bell tower.

St-Jérôme underwent numerous adjustments until its recent aspect from the 19th century. Extended and embellished, it was erected as a co-cathedral in 1962 and classified as a Historical Monument.
